Supermarket shop signs in Tenerife: types and materials

Fitting out or refurbishing a supermarket means dozens of signs at once: the façade, the entrance totems, the signage for every section and the offer cards. And if you belong to a chain, each piece has to respect its brand manual. Let us look at which supermarket shop signs you need in Tenerife, in which material, and how to meet what the food chains ask for.

What signs a supermarket needs

A food shop combines very different signs, and each one has a job:

  • Façade sign: 3D letters or a light box with the store name. It is the first thing the customer sees from the street.
  • Entrance totem or directory: guides people, announces opening hours and featured offers.
  • Section signage: fruit, bakery, butcher, frozen, cleaning… the supermarket signage that guides the customer along the aisles.
  • Aisle and price cards: aisle numbering and categories, consistent with each other.
  • Backlit logo at the tills or customer service.

If you want the detail of each lit format, we break it down in types of LED signs for businesses.

Materials: cold, humidity and a sunlit façade

A supermarket brings together very different zones, and the material has to withstand each one:

  • PLA — perfect for a dry interior: section signage, directories and cards. Economical, with a good finish.
  • PETG — functional and resistant to humidity and temperature changes; ideal near the cold zone, frozen goods and cleaning.
  • ASA — the façade material: it does not yellow in the sun (UV) and resists salt air, essential if the store is on the seafront.

For any lit sign exposed to the weather we add IP65 electronics and LEDs with over 50,000 h. We print pieces up to 30×30×30 cm in one go; large façade signs are made in sections, with joining and a professional finish.

What food chains require

If your store belongs to a franchise or chain, design freedom is limited: the corporate identity manual rules. It usually sets the exact brand colours, the typography, the logo proportions and uniform lighting so that every store looks the same. We reproduce your identity in detail: if you have the brand manual, we follow it to the millimetre; if not, we start from your logo and colours. By manufacturing in 3D we adapt each piece to the format and size the brand requires, without aluminium’s minimum orders.

Frequently asked questions

What signs does a supermarket in Tenerife need?

A supermarket combines the façade sign (3D letters or a light box), an entrance totem or directory, section signage (fruit, bakery, frozen…) and aisle and price cards. Outdoors we use ASA because of the sun and salt air; indoors, PLA.

Can you meet a food chain's requirements?

Yes. We reproduce your corporate identity manual in detail: exact colours, typography, logo proportions and uniform lighting across all stores. If you have the brand book we follow it to the millimetre; if not, we start from your logo and colours.

How much does supermarket signage cost?

With 3D printing, from 90 € for a tabletop sign, 150 € for a backlit logo and 300 € for interior 3D letters, up to 60 % cheaper than aluminium. The quote is free and we close it within 24 h, with an IGIC invoice.
